Plasmid DNA: The Building Block Behind Modern Biotechnology

Plasmids are small circular DNA molecules naturally found in bacteria, but their role in science is much bigger. Researchers use plasmid DNA to study genes, develop vaccines, produce therapeutic proteins, and advance gene therapy research. Because plasmids can carry specific genetic information, they have become an essential tool in molecular biology laboratories worldwide. As biotechnology continues to evolve, plasmid DNA remains at the heart of many scientific discoveries.

For much of the last two decades, regenerative medicine has been closely associated with stem cell therapy. The promise of repairing damaged tissues, slowing disease progression, and restoring biological function generated enormous scientific interest. Yet as research progressed, scientists made an important observation: many of the therapeutic benefits attributed to stem cells appeared to come from the tiny biological messengers they release rather than the cells themselves.

These microscopic extracellular vesicles, known as exosomes, have gradually become one of the most closely watched areas in regenerative medicine. Instead of transplanting living cells, researchers are investigating whether these naturally occurring vesicles can deliver therapeutic signals that encourage tissue repair, regulate inflammation, and improve cellular communication. This scientific shift is helping shape the Exosome Therapeutics Market, where pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology innovators are exploring cell-free approaches to regenerative medicine. Early research suggests exosomes may act as biological carriers capable of transporting proteins,…

Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization Probe

A fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probe is a laboratory tool used to detect specific DNA sequences within cells. It uses fluorescent markers that bind to targeted genetic material, allowing researchers and clinicians to visualize genetic changes under a microscope. This technique is commonly used in genetic testing and cancer diagnostics.
