The surveyors were back at the end of the second Dairy Valley this week. I spoke to them and they were doing topographical surveys for the purchaser who is Koch Homes from Annapolis. So the property is either sold or moving along the process. I am familiar with Koch Homes. They build mainly in Anne Arundel County and the nearest development is in Hanover near Arundel Mills. They do build very nice homes and communities and in the past have worked well with neighbors and surrounding communities. Frankly, we may be lucky that they are the purchaser. I hope that this is something that the community association will track as it progresses since it will have a significant impact on the neighborhood.

I noticed survey activity along the edges of the Miller Land Co property several weeks ago and again today. The surveyors were having difficulty finding my corner marker so I helped them find it and they told me that the Miller property was in the process of being sold to a developer. They didn't have any additional information. I believe that they were doing pre-sale due diligence to determine if there were any encroachments or other barriers to development.

Frankly I thought that the property would be given to Millers Grant for expansion. We all knew this was coming for a long time but it looks like it will happen sooner than later. I do not know the status of the vacant land or if the site plan that was approved for those sections years ago is still in effect.
